Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is constructing over 70,000 flats in the several different areas of capital city such as Dwarka, Rohini, Narela, Kathputli Colony and Kalkaji Extension, Minister of State for Urban Development Saugata Roy told Lok Sabha. Answering to the question made by DDA over construction of flats in reply he said, “The proposal for construction of flats at Kalkaji Extension and Kathputli are for in-situ rehabilitation for slums and JJ cluster.”
Reportedly, the construction work on 19,632 flats out of 70,000 flats has already started in Dwarka, Rohini and Narela. Approx 1220 flats in Dwarka has completed for Economic Weaker Section (EWS) and about 512 EWS flats construction work is still in progress in Rohini, sources said. However, construction process for Low Income Group (LIG) has completed on 760flats in Dwarka and remaining flats are work in progress.
