Karishma Kapur Invests In Baby Products Portal - BabyOye.com

In yet another instance of an ecommerce investment by a celebrity, Karishma Kapur has made an investment in BabyOye.com. Earlier this year, Shilpa Shetty invested in a group buying site, Zaheer Khan invested in Sher Singh and recently, Yuvraj Singh announced an investment in Exclusively.

BabyOye.com is a e-commerce store selling baby products. It was founded in 2010 by Sanjay Nadkarni and Arunima Singhdeo, BabyOye offers over 4000 Indian and imported baby products across categories, like diapers, bath and skincare, health and safety products. In April it raised, $2.5Mn from Accel partners and Tiger Global.

It has tied-up with over 80 brands like Johnson & Johnson, Hauck, Graco, Medela, Avent, Chicco, Fisherprice, farlin, Pampers, and Huggies, among others. The portal offers free home delivery for orders above Rs 2,000. Babyoye.com claims that itreceives 1,000 daily visitors and has over 25,000 fans on Facebook.

Some others in this space are Hushbabies.com and Firstcry.com. Consumer marketing firm, Jasper, that owns Snapdeal has also launched Babybox.in. FirstCry raised $4Mn from SAIF Partners in April this year and Hoopos.com raised funds from Helion Venture Partners in October.

In February this year, Hyderabad-based Hoorayy Technologies, which operates ecommerce website LootMore.com, launched Kidloo.com, an online store for baby and kid products targeting the 0-12 year age group.

Subsidy on Loans for MSEs

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has launched a new scheme, Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS), for MSEs for technology upgradation under which a capital subsidy at 15 per cent of value of plant and machinery will be provided on loans of up to Rs. 1 crore.

In a written note in the Rajya Sabha, union cabinet minister for MSMEs Virbhadra Singh said the scheme will be implemented through 11 Nodal Banks/agencies such as Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).

The State Bank of India, Andhra Bank, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of India, Tamilnadu Industrial Investment Corporation Limited and the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd will also provide the scheme to MSEs, the minister added.

The Subsidy is provided to MSEs across the country for purchase of plant and machinery in the specified products groups/technologies approved under the scheme.

Fixed rate housing finance scheme launched: HSBC

MUMBAI:
In the last week HSBC the second largest money lender across the country has launched the new fix rate home loan scheme and loans against property.

According to the new launched scheme there are two options, in the first option customer can make pre-payments subject to certain conditions and in the second option wherein the customer chooses not to make pre-payments during the fixed rate period.
The bank said in a statement that, “the new fixed rate scheme is available for one to five years period for home loans and five years for loan against property, with applicable rate beginning at 11.25 percent for a one-year tenor to 11.75 percent for a five-year home loan.”
The bank added in statement that “there is 25 basis points subvention for every tenor provided the borrower does not choose to pre-pay the loan.”
However, a home loan which has a five years tenor the rate is 12.50 percent and 12.75 percent if pre-paid.

by our team. Each kitchen has the capacity to cook between 50 000 to 100 000
mid-day meals per day. Costing approximately 9 crores to set up, they are built with funds from public donations.
